SEO Pricing Option - Commission Based SEO
Paying for viable leads to your Business
Perhaps one of the most common questions we are asked as an SEO agency is:
“I’m only interested in paying for leads, do you operate on a Commission or lead based SEO model?”
The answer is yes, we do – but it would have to fall into the following two types of business niches*:
- High ticket niches with high margins, e.g. Home Cinemas, Home Swimming Pools or Loft Extensions
- High volume searches, e.g. national search terms such as ‘Sell my Car’
*The reason we would only be interested a pay per lead basis or a commission basis for SEO on the above niches is that in low search volumes or low ticket niches we would not make any profit in such a deal and would continually make losses

So How Would Pay Per Lead SEO Work?
There are companies that have chosen this type of SEO model, as the leads and sales can be tracked and quantified.
Both Pay Per Lead SEO and Performance Based SEO pricing models have a minimum lower level SEO limit, which will work out more expensive IF we are able to produce #1 rankings for all the KWs that we are targeting.
We would only make a profit in pricing our work in this way, if we are successful and providing #1 rankings. For both the performance and Commission based SEO pricing methods, we start our baseline pricing between £500 to £1,000/PCM, depending on the niche, geographical location of your target audience and the general difficulty of the targeted Keywords.
All pricing methods will operate in the initial baseline pricing method unless the performance SEO factor exceeds the baseline, or the value of leads generated exceeds the baseline – whichever is greater.
Here are three hypothetical examples of Commission Based SEO Pricing:
